Error description

  • Whilst implementing IMS Sysplex Manager PTF UK78057) using the
REINIT command to re-initialize IMS Sysplex Manager, the IMSA
Control Region took an ABEND0C4 with MODID=GJEICLCC+CRERESP.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND0C4 with MODID=GJEICLCC+CRERESP    *
*                      shows, when a command is issued to      *
*                      re-init the Sysplex Manager in the      *
*                      control region and the re-init is not   *
*                      successful.                             *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
While executing re-init of SM in control region, the cpool
services are stopped and after successful re-init they are
started again. If re-init fails- there are no cpool services.
On response-the GJEICLC0 hook does not check if IMS SM is
active in the control region - and tries to log the response,
using the cpool services. it abends with 0C4.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem is fixed. Install the APAR and restart the control
region.
