APAR status

Error description

• The SOAP with Attachments API for Java (SAAJ) specification
  does not specify behavior when the SOAPElement.addTextNode
  method is passed a null parameter value.  Many implementations
  throw a NullPointerException, making it difficult to determine
  what the problem is.

  The SOAPElement implementation does not expect to see a null
  value passed to the addTextNode method.
  

Problem conclusion

• Applications that attempt to pass a null parameter value to
  the addTextNode method will now receive an
  IllegalArgumentException.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.4 and 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the
