  * USERS AFFECTED: All DB2 9 for z/OS and DB2 10 for z/OS users *
  *                 of REORG TABLESPACE utility on a PBG table   *
  *                 space                                        *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: REORG TABLESPACE on a compressed PBG    *
  *                      table space compresses or decompresses  *
  *                      data records with an incorrect          *
  *                      compression dictionary.                 *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *
  ****************************************************************
  User ran a REORG TABLESPACE utility on a partition-by-growth
  table space, which was defined with the COMPRESS YES attribute
  where different partitions have different pre-existing
  compression dictionaries built prior to REORG.  During REORG
  execution, the utility failed as follows:
  
  (1) If KEEPDICTIONARY is specified and REORG is run against
      disjoint partition ranges, REORG might decompress data
      records using the wrong decompression dictionary when the
      PBG records are redistributed across partitions.
  
  (2) For REORG TABLESPACE SHRLEVEL CHANGE execution, concurrent
      DML resulting in PBG record data movement can also result
      in the usage of incorrect compression dictionaries in
      log apply processing.
  
  A variety of symptoms can occur in the aforementioned scenarios
  due to the incorrect decompression of data records.  Some of the
  known symptoms include :

  - ABEND04E RC00C90101 in DSNKINSL ERQUAL5033

  - ABEND0C1 ABENDS0C1 ABEND0C4 ABENDS0C4 due to STORAGE OVERLAY
    involving incorrectly decompressed data record
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been modified to ensure the correct compression
  dictionaries are used by REORG in the aforementioned scenarios.
