Error description

  • A 'DATA BASE STATUS LIST' issue was found doing internal
testing. The 'DATA BASE STATUS LIST' usually displays
'NORCVDB RCVNEED' for non-recoverable DL/I databases when
a SLDS is found in the log data set after a recovery start
checkpoint was used by DFR. However, the non-recoverable DL/I
databases are not displayed on the 'DATA BASE STATUS LIST' when
they are opened before a latest FP checkpoint.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
DFR uses a DDIRNRCV bit of a DDIRCOD3 flag to display
'NORCVDB RCVNEED' for non-recoverable DL/I databases on a
'DATA BASE STATUS LIST' when a SLDS is found in the log data
set. If a x'4C08' log record has been written before a latest
FP checkpoint, DFR does not set the DDIRNRCV bit of the DDIRCOD3
    flag.
So DFR does not display the non-recoverable DL/I databases on
    the 'DATA BASE STATUS LIST'.
DFR should set the DDIRNRCV bit of the DDIRCOD3 flag from the
    CHKCOD3 flag of a x'4006' log record.

Problem conclusion

  • The following modules have been modified.
    (x = A, B or C)
    *
DFRLDB1x - When a DDIRNRCV bit was set to the CHKCOD3 flag of
a X'4006' log record, this module was changed so that
the DDIRNRCV bit might be set to the DDIRCOD3 flag.
