Error description

Running WebSphere Application Server version 7.0.0.19, the
Deployment Manager and Node Agent processes cannot start due to
an undefined variable in namebindings.xml. SystemOut shows
errors:
VariableExpan E   WSVR0244E: An undefined <variable name>
product variable has been encountered in the stringToBind
property of the D:\WAS\V7\DMGR\profiles\<profile
name>\config\cells/<cellname>/namebindings.xml#StringNameSpaceBi
nding_1332444286278 configuration object.

Undefined variable references in name space binding
configurations cause server start-up failure. Errors of
severity this low should trigger warning messages but not
prevent a server from starting.

Problem conclusion

Undefined variable references are now handled properly when
reading name space binding, foreign cell binding, and custom
property configuration data. Undefined variable references are
noted as warning messages in the system log.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.25 and 8.0.0.4.  Please refer to the
