Error description
IMS log file reporting that uses a time based interval, for example IMSPALOG START(,10:00),STOP(,11:00), can incorrectly report transactions outside of the time range. In addition, the PRINTAT STOP and EOF options are incorrectly described in the User's Guide as to their impact on time based interval reporting.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IMS Performance Analyzer V4.2 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Time based interval reporting * * incorrectly reports transactions * * outside of the specified time range * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This APAR is correcting the following issues: 1. IMS log file reporting that uses a time based interval, for example IMSPALOG START(,10:00),STOP(,11:00), can incorrectly report transactions outside of the time range. 2. In addition, the PRINTAT STOP and EOF options are incorrectly described in the User's Guide as to their impact on time based interval reporting.
Problem conclusion
The following changes have been made for the above issues: 1. Time based interval reporting is corrected to include only those transactions that were processed during the specified time interval. 2. When the IMS log file spans more than one day, the PRINTAT option affects time based interval reporting in the following way: PRINTAT(STOP) - At the end of the specified interval, summary style reports are written (one report for each day), and list style reports are halted. PRINTAT(EOF) - At the end of the specified interval, summary style reports stop accumulating statistics, and list style reports are halted. At the end of the job, the summary style reports are written (one accumulated report for all days).
