Error description

  • User gets an exception when opening some (not all) EGL source
files.

User is  attempting to edit an
existing EGL program using the EGL Editor, but receives an error
when he
attempt to open it.  The error is:  Could not open the editor:
assertion failed.

Exception will be thrown when opening an EGL file that is
used by two different EGLPartioner instances in a race
condition.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • 2 different EGLPartioners are running at the same time on
the document. If the 2 partioners are adding  positions for
the category "__content_types_category" at the same
time----Race condition on the same document by two
partioners -----Using the same __content_types_category will
cause this problem.
