APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In ReqPro 7.1.2.5 installed on Windows 7 - when a non-admin user
    launches ReqPro they are prompted with the following message:
    
    'Browse for a Working Directory:
    
    You must have write permission for a working directory in order
    to run Rational RequisitePro and store logs and other project
    data.
    
    Select a folder where you have write access to use as the
    working directory.'
    
    After clicking OK to this message the user is prompted to select
    the RqData directory under their user home directory.
    
    The Cancel button on this prompt for the RqData - does not allow
    you to Cancel.

     Users of Rational RequisitePro client for Windows who are
    working on Microsoft Windows Vista or later.
     PROBLEM DESCRIPTION :
     When browsing for a folder to select a working directory
    for RequisitePro the Cancel button in the ?Browse For
    Folder? dialog does not work.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code of the Cancel button was corrected to allow the
    user to exit RequisitePro client for Windows and select a
    folder in a later time.
     The fix for this APAR was included in RequisitePro version
    7.1.2.7 and 7.1.3.3.
