Error description

  • When attempting to compare file versions, IBM Rational ClearTeam
    Explorer will fail with an error such as the following:
    
    -----
    ccrc_cleardiffmrg.exe - Unable to Locate Component
    
    This application has failed to start because icuucratl48.dll was
    not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    -----
    
    This only occurs if ClearTeam Explorer is installed on a system
    without the native ClearCase client.
    
    
    Steps to reproduce the issue:
    
    1) Install ClearTeam Explorer on a system without native
    ClearCase.
    
    2) In ClearTeam Explorer, navigate to Window ? Preferences ?
    Compare/Merge.  Under 'When comparing and merging files', set
    the default tool to ClearCase External and hit Apply.
    
    3) Right-click a file version and select Compare with
    Predecessor.  An error will be displayed.
    
    
    Workarounds:
    
    - Set the default Compare/Merge tool to use 'ClearCase
    Integrated (UTF-8)' instead.
    
    - From a system with the same version of the native ClearCase
    client, copy the files icuucrtl48.dll and icudtratl48.dll from
    ?clearcase-home?\bin to the ?IMShared?\plugins directory on the
    system with ClearTeam Explorer.
