PM58574: WMQ FTE REQUESTS USING THE -SQDT DELIMITER NOT WORKING AS EXPECTED AT 7.0.4. MESSAGES BFGCL0323E AND BFGCL0043I ARE ISSUED

WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition V7.0 Fix Pack 7.0.4.2

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When attempting to perform a message to file transfer, the
  transfer fails when the -sqdt parm is specified.
  .
  The following messages are seen:
  BFGCL0323E: The text delimiter option 'sqdt' is not valid unless
  the transfer is in text mode.
  BFGCL0043I: Specify the '-h' command line parameter to see more
  usage information.
  .
  Per the change team,
  FTE Transfer requests using the -sqdt delimiter are failed with
  BFGIO0323, but only when Fix Pack 7.0.4.1 has been installed and
  enabled.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Due to an invalid check, the Agent would throw the BFGCL0323E
  error for a transfer for which the -sqdt parameter was specified
  even when the source was a queue.
  
  USERS AFFECTED:
  All using the -sqdt parameter
  
  PLATFORMS AFFECTED:
  All
  

Problem conclusion

• The checking code which throws the BFGCL0323E error has been
  altered to ensure that it does not throw the error if the source
  type is a queue.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 7.0.4.2.
