PM58295: APPLYING A STATIC CONTENT LAYOUT IN IE8 FAILS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• We are trying to apply a static content layout to a portal
  page.
  When we upload the file in IE 8 we get the error
  message: EJPAS0060E: TheStatic Page Layout File does
  not match with the zip or HTML file. Please modify the Static
  Page Layout File or the zip or HTML file and try
  again. However, we have entered in the static page layout
  file to match exactly the html file we are uploading.  In
  Firefox, this functionality works.

Local fix

• 1. Use Firefox
  2. Provide the static html template in a zip file
  3. Provide the fully qualified path+filename to the template in
  both fields
  

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• In IE8 if the portal is in the list of trusted sites, IE returns
  a fully qualified path from the file upload control. This causes
  an error when specifying a static layout template for a page if
  the template is in a loose html file.
  
  Added code to remove any fully qualified paths found in the
  affected code path.
