APAR status

Error description

  • After upgrade CQ web from 7.0.x to 7.1.x, CQ users can no longer
    view changeset info from the CQ web unless there is a active
    view on the target stream (A NULLPointerException is thrown).
    Creating views on all the needed streams posses an additional
    workload on administrators and in environments with a high
    number of streams the feature too cumbersome to be maintained.
    CQWeb 7.0 was able to use any existing view, just like the heavy
    clients are still able to do 7.1.x, and it was also possible to
    specify a prefered view using the SQUID_CHANGE_SET_VIEW
    parameter in the common.properties file.
    For these lack of parity with the other CQ clients and earlier
    CQWeb versions and  the customer considers this as a product
    defect.
