PM57728: QMF EXPORT CHART FAILS WHEN QMF FORM CONTAINS "P" OR "D" EDIT CODE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• QMF EXPORT CHART command fails when FORM used with the
  REPORT on which the CHART is based contains "P" edit code.
  Also fails for other QMF and user-defined edit codes.

  When QMF processes data in a report for use in a CHART, it
  converts all numeric values into floating-point numbers.  Code
  was added in QMF V10 to accept only the conventional characters
  that make up a FLOAT number: +, -, E, decimal point, or comma.
  
  If an edit code like P for percent or D for dollar is used in
  a QMF FORM, the generated report includes characters like %, and
  QMF rejected the character representation of this numeric value
  when these characters were found.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code was changed to ignore special characters when a numeric
  value is converted to a floating-point number.
