PM56856: DATA MANAGER 10.1 SYBASE IQ 15 CONNECTIVITY

Error description

• Data Manager fact build runninng on Solaris 10 freezes when
  trying to access a Sybase IQ data source.  This same fact build
  works correctly when run on Windows.    Error reported is:
  DM-DBM-0402 UDA driver reported the following:  UDA-SQL-0031
  Unable to access the "SybaseIQ_Test" database.  UDA-SQL-0107 A
  general exception has occurred during the operation "attach".
  DM-DBM-0306 UDA driver error connecting to 'SybaseIQ_Test'.

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * There is no intent to fix this as this is not a problem in   *
  * the Cognos BI code. It's a compatibility problem with the    *
  * non-ANSI flavours of the Sybase IQ 15 ODBC driver and the    *
  * iODBC driver manager. iODBC is the ODBC driver manager that  *
  * is shiped with Cognos BI on the Solaris platform.            *
  *                                                              *
  * Since iODBC is a 3rd party component that we include in our  *
  * product, we cannot change its code. We currently don't use   *
  * the latest version of iODBC, however this problem still      *
  * exists in the latest version.                                *
  *                                                              *
  * To make this driver work, the ANSI-only driver for Sybase IQ *
  * 15 must be used. This driver is called libdbodbcansi11_r.so. *
  * You would also need to set the IQDIR15 environment variable  *
  * to point to the root directory of the Sybase IQ driver. As a *
  * consequence of using this driver, you will only be able to   *
  * query ANSI data.                                             *

  * An alternative is to use unixODBC as the ODBC driver manager *
  * instead. You'd have to build it and configure it to run in   *
  * your environment, and then update the connection string or   *
  * set the UDA_IQ_DRIVER_MANAGER_LIBRARY environment variable   *
  * accordingly.                                                 *
