The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS DB2 Utility data set
prefix ':UTILPRE' (USERID, OWNER, CREATEDBY, name) is not used
in the REORG and REBUILD utilities that are generated
automatically by ADBTEP2 for objects in the following pending
states: AREO*, AREOR, ARBDP, REORP, RBDP, RBDP* and PSRBD.

Problem conclusion

  • The DB2 Administration Tool User's Guide Version 10.1 has been
updated to reflect the DB2 Utility data set preix ':UTILPRE'
is only used as the prefix of the data sets in DB2 utility jobs
when using the 'U.x' line command to run a utility or when
using the Utility selections commands UT, UTIL, or UTL and
then running a specific utility. The value of ':UTILPRE' will
not be used as the prefix of the data sets in the REORG and
REBUILD utilities that are generated automatically by ADBTEP2.
If users want to customize the prefix of these utilities in
ADBTEP2, they should use User-defined template names to define
the prefix via the Template Usage panel so that templates
will be used in ADBTEP2 if provided.

In the DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS User's Guide Version
10.1, Chapter 2 'Activating DB2 Admin', there are two
descriptions for tag :utilpre. that need to be updated as
    follows:

    Before Change:
    :utilpre.
High-level qualifier (HLQ) or prefix of the data sets
that are used in DB2 utility jobs.

DB2 Utility data set prefix (:utilpre.)
High-level qualifier (HLQ) or prefix of the data sets
used in DB2 utility jobs. Special values are:
           USERID
TSO user ID. This is the default value.
           OWNER
           The owner of the object.
           CREATEDBY
           The creator of the object.
           name
           Any high-level qualifier.

    After Change:
    :utilpre.
High-level qualifier (HLQ) or prefix of the data sets
that are used in the DB2 utility jobs when using the U.x
line command to run a utility or when using the UT, UTIL,
or UTL commands and then running a specific utility.

DB2 Utility data set prefix (:utilpre.)
High-level qualifier (HLQ) or prefix of the data sets
used in the DB2 utility jobs when using the U.x line
command or when using the UT, UTIL, or UTL command and
then running a specific utility. Special values are:
           USERID
TSO user ID. This is the default value.
           OWNER
           The owner of the object.
           CREATEDBY
           The creator of the object.
           name
           Any high-level qualifier.
