When a stand-alone WebSphere eXtreme Scale V7.1.1 installation
and interim fix PM52575 are installed, PM52575 is
automatically uninstalled, and the JDK reverts to Java 6 SR4
when you apply refresh packs or fix packs.

Problem conclusion

  • When you apply the correct platform-specific, superseding
interim fix PM56253, then interim fix PM52575 is not
automatically uninstalled when you apply future fix packs or
refresh packs. Therefore, the JDK does not revert to Java 6
    SR4.

When you apply interim fix PM56253, this fix updates
WebSphere eXtreme Scale v7.1.1 stand-alone installations to
    JDK Java 6 SR9 FP2.
