    ****************************************************************
In DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS, panel GOC11 'Specify
Source/Target DDL file' issues the following error message
when the input DDL data set is defined as a multi volume data
    set.

DDL data set error: Data set error ListDSI cc=19,
IKJ58418I PARTIAL DATA SET INFORMATION NOT
OBTAINED. IKJ58419I DATA SET RESIDES ON
    MULTIPLE VOLUMES.

Problem conclusion

  • Problem has been resolved. User can specify multi volume DDL
data set on panel GOC11 and it will be handled correctly.

Besides the reporting problem, a similar problem exists in
several other parts of DB2 Object Comparison Tool. The user
may encounter the following error message in some other
    conditions.

Data set error ListDSI cc=19, IKJ58418I PARTIAL DATA
    SET INFORMATION NOT OBTAINED.
IKJ58419I DATA SET RESIDES ON MULTIPLE
    VOLUMES.

Changes have been made to those parts as well to fix the
    problems, including:

    1. Handle multi volume mask data set which is specified on
    panel GOC3 ('Specify Compare Masks').
    2. Handle multi volume ignore data set which is specified on
panel GOC4 ('Specify Compare Ignore Fields').
    3. Handle multi volume output version file data sets for
    source and target.
    4. Handle multi volume work data sets generated by DB2
Object Compare, such as data sets used to store the ALTER,
CREATE, DROP and REBIND statements; data set used to store
the change statements; IFF data set which is used to store
    the internal version file.
