  2)  Create a file encoded with utf16le called test
  
  3)  cleartool file test
  test: utf16le_file
  
  4)  cp test test.orig
  
  5)  cleartool mkelem -nc test
  Created element 'test' (type 'utf16le_file').
  View private file 'test' was read-only. Added write permission.
  Checked out 'test' from version '/main/0'.
  
  6)  cleartool diff test test.orig
  Files are identical.
  
  7)  cleartool ci -nc test
  Checked in 'test' version '/main/1'.
  
  8)  cleartool diff test test.orig
