APAR status

Error description

  • Following an 'Update from Repository' ? 'Preview Only'
    operation, the IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) may
    appear unresponsive for up to 30 seconds when attempting to
    right-click on an element currently unloaded in the view.
    
    
    Steps to reproduce the issue:
    
    1) Create CCRC view 'test1' with load rules set to a directory
    already containing one or more existing file elements.
    
    2) In a second view, 'test2', load the same directory.
    
    3) Using the 'test2' view, create a new file element 'file1.txt'
    and checkin the file.
    
    4) Within the 'test1' view, right-click the view name and select
    Refresh ? Update from Repository.  Check the box labeled
    'Preview only.  Do not load or update any resources.' and hit
    Apply.
    
    5) In the list of files with a state of 'Needs Update', locate
    and right-click on the currently unloaded 'file1.txt'. The CCRC
    client may appear to freeze at this point for upwards of 30
    seconds before the context-menu is made visible.
