Error description

• When a kill is done on a middleware agent VE doesn't detect
  capacity loss and compensate for it.
  

Local fix

• Performing a clean shutdown will prevent this problem.
  

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WVE fails to start new managed          *

  *                      managing agent terminates               *
  *                      unexpectedly.                           *

  When a middleware agent terminates unexpectedly, and running
  foreign servers managed by that agent do not simultaneously
  fail but do terminate prior to the restart of the agent, WVE
  does not compensate for the lost capacity.
  

Problem conclusion

• The ODC component has been altered to monitor the state of
  running managed foreign servers when the managing agent
  suddenly terminates. This enables correct environment data to
  still be supplied to APC so that corrective action can be
  taken if needed.
  
  This fix will be included in the next available fix pack for
  WebSphere Virtual Enterprise.
