Error description
Your MAS GRPLIST includes the CICSPlex SM MAS default resource definitions from the sample member EYU$MDEF. Your MAS agent is at the CICS TS 4.2 level and your CICS region is at a CICS TS 4.x or 3.x release. During any type of startup, the following message is received during initialization: EYUNX0013E applid TRANSACTION CODB has invalid value: EYU9DBUG for option: PROGRAM Module CJxU9NXLM (where x is "C" for CICS TS 4.1, "B" for CICS TS 3.2, and "A" for CICS TS 3.1) dynamically creates the CODB transaction definition if it does not already exist. If it does exist, its attributes are verified to ensure they are valid. The CODB transaction is flagged in the MAS_TRANSACTIONS table as a non-critical MAS agent transaction definition. At label CHECK_TRAN_COMPLETE the code checks the NXLM_FLAGS for NXLM_INV_DEF and if so, and the definition begins with a "C", it then checks the MAS_TRN_FLAGS for the MAS_TRN_NOTCRIT bit and issues EYUNX0013E but continues to initialize the MAS agent. In this instance, the CICS TS region is CICS TS 4.1 so the valid PROGRAM attribute for the CODB transaction is CJC9DBUG. As the installed CODB definition from the EYU$MDEF specifies EYU9DBUG for the PROGRAM attribute, this is determined to be invalid for a CICS TS 4.1 MAS. CJC9NLXM at label CHECK_CODB_PROG a call is made to the NXLM_PROG_VERS subroutine to check the version of the CICS TS region. If the MAS_PRG_FLAGS has the MAS_PRG_USECJA bit set indicating the module is CICS release sensitive, the VERS_TABL is compared with the NXLM_CICS_REL of the CICS region to determine the release sensitive module prefix. In this case, CODB is release specific and should be CJC9DBUG for a CICS TS 4.1 region. If not, processing continues at label INVALID_PROG_MSG and the EYUNX0013E message is issued with the appropriate inserts. CICSPlex SM needs to provide sample resource definition members for all supported CICS TS releases and the CICS TS 4.2 Information Center in the section on "Overriding the dynamically created CICS resource definitions for CICSPlex SM" needs to be updated to describe the release specific members. Problem conclusion
Added the following 3 new members to the SEYUSAMP dataset: EYU$M640 - This sample includes the default CICS resource definitions used for a MAS agent at the CICS TS 4.2 level and the CICS region at CICS R640. EYU$M650 - This sample includes the default CICS resource definitions used for a MAS agent at the CICS TS 4.2 level and the CICS region at CICS R650. EYU$M660 - This sample includes the default CICS resource definitions used for a MAS agent at the CICS TS 4.2 level and the CICS region at CICS R660.
