  IS TIMED OUT. ONE HOLDER OF THE RESOURCE IS PLAN=QMF10

  This problem can happen in interactive or batch QMF. Users may
  experience timeouts on DSQTSCT1 tablespace when running QMF
  queries, procs or forms or entering the QMF LIST command.
  Error message MSGDSQ16911 'The portion of the database you
  require is in use.' with messages similar to:

Problem summary

  *                 experiencing timeouts on DSQTSCT1.           *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: QMF users can experience DSQ16911 'The  *
  *                      portion of the database you require is  *
  *                      in use.'when entering the LIST,         *
  *                      DISPLAY, RUN or any QMF command that    *
  *                      accesses the QMF control table          *
  *                      Q.OBJECT_DIRECTORY in tablespace        *
  *                      DSQTSCT1. The message will be           *
  *                      accompanied by DB2 reason code 00C9008E *
  *                      for type 302 on DSQDBCTL.DSQTSCT1. The  *
  *                      problem can happen in interactive or    *
  *                      batch QMF.                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  During update of the Q.OBJECT_DIRECTORY.LAST_USED column, QMF
  was not issuing a COMMIT when a report object was not complete.
  This led to timeout situations on the DSQDBCTL.DSQTSCT1
  tablespace for other users trying to access QMF objects via the
  LIST, DISPLAY, RUN, EXPORT or any QMF command that operates on
  QMF objects.
  

Problem conclusion

• QMF has been corrected to properly detect when to update
  Q.OBJECT_DIRECTORY.LAST_USED. If a COMMIT cannot be immediately
  issued, the update will be added to a pending queue.
