Error description

  • Problem:
    Error under high concurrency/load situations:
'ERROR: ClearQuest Web server reported an error in the current
    operation.
    Associate

    CRVAP0200E Record
    cq.record:cc_change_set/?dbid?@?dbset?/?userdb? is already being
    edited by this session.?

    Background:
Integration is done through ClearQuest web based V2 integration
as specified in the config.pl file.

User attempts to check out multiple files at the same time, but
in different directory locations from Windows explorer (right
    click -? ClearCase-? Checkout).

The use case is sporadic, but in most reproductions it was an
attempt to do 4 parallel checkout operations (right click -?
    ClearCase -? Checkout).

After this error, checking out of any file for the same id is
impossible, unless the client PC is rebooted.

APAR is to capture a fix permitting an automated-retry
capability to modify CQ records that are under high concurrent
access/modifications when used through the V2 integration.
