Error description
The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not provide any error messages to indicate that the ZTEMPN dataset used to hold JCL for BIND and REBIND commands was allocated onto a multi-volume dataset and the LMINIT command in EXEC(ADB2W1) had failed. Customers issuing the BIND or REBIND command from panel ADB21K 'Packages' will see the panel ADB2PST@ 'Statement Execution Prompt' warning customers "DB2 Admin is about to execute multiple statements. The number of statements exceeds 20, which is too large to be executed immediately." if they then select option '1 - Create a batch job with the statements' they will eventually return to panel ADB21K 'Packages' with no messages.

Messages shows as below: Function : ADB2W1, LINE 3518: LMINIT DDNAME(MULTI) DATAID(DATAID) Retcode : 8 Zerrmsg : ISRZ002 Zerrsm : Invalid data set Zerrlm : Multivolume data sets are not supported by LMINIT by DDNAME, or when the VOLUME parameter is used.
