APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• APAR PM46198 provides the availability of the DSS retry process
  if the CIC process finds a CI/CA split in the KSDS with
  BWO(TYPEIMS). With PM46198, the timing of the IC data set
  dynalloc and open has been changed. However, the open process
  and its error handling work incorrectly in the new position,
  which will result in a ABENDS0C1.

  After applying APAR PM46198, HP Image Copy with FASTIC=(,DUMP)
  processing of the Advanced Copy Services produces following
  errors:
  
  - HP Image Copy terminates with ABEND S0C1 ( ABEND0C1 ) when all
    of the following conditions are satisfied:
    - Detected open error of output image copy data set
    - Next DBDS process is requested
  
  - HP Image Copy issues following error messages twice for each
    DBDS:
    - FABJ4237I ( MSGFABJ4237I )
    - FABJ4239I ( MSGFABJ4239I )
    - DFS301A ( MSGDFS301A )
  
  - HP Image Copy terminates with ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) when all
    of the following conditions are satisfied:
    - Detected error symptom immediately after the end of DFSMSdss
      logical copy process.
  
  - HP Image Copy does not create the image copy data set for the
    unformatted OSAM database data set even if EMPOSAM=A or
    EMPOSAM=O keyword is specified.
  
  The fix of APAR PM46198 moved the dynalloc logic of image copy
  data set and its open logic after checking CI/CA split of KSDS.
  However, HP Image Copy performed the allocation of image copy
  data set twice, because the error check handling was incorrect.
  

Problem conclusion

• FABJFCDN has been modified as follows:
  - To clear the workarea at exit point of DFSMSdss function
    startup (Eioption 00).
  - To create the image copy data set for the unformatted OSAM
    database data set.
  
  The following modules have been reassembled.
