Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS UH 'Update optimizer hint'
  line command related panel ADB2ELIH 'Update Optimizer Hint'
  builds a SQL UPDATE SET statement for the users PLAN_TABLE
  without a WHERE statement to limit the scope of the update.

  *                 line command on panel ADB2EL 'Rows from      *
  *                 userid.PLAN_TABLE', using DB2 R810 or        *
  *                 DB2 9.                                       *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The WHERE clause does not appear on the *
  *                      Update statement when using the 'UH'    *
  *                      line command which causes modifications *
  *                      in all of the user's PLAN_TABLE rows.   *
  *                      This error occurs only with DB2 R810    *
  *                      and DB2 9.                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The UPDATE clause when using the 'UH' line command is not
  accurate and causes erroneous explain table entries.
  

Problem conclusion

• The 'UH' command code has been fixed to issue the WHERE clause
  on the UPDATE statements.
