PM48274: CLNO ERROR IF RESTARTINFORETRIEVAL(ONERROR) AND EQQUX013 ACTIVE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When RCLOPTS RESARTINFORETRIEVAL(ONERROR) is set, the CONTROLLER
  attempts to retrieve the OPERINFO data for all jobs ending in
  error status regardless of their CLEANUP TYPE.
  .
  If EQQUX013 is active so that no DATASTORE copy of the job log
  sysout is created for jobs with CLEANUPTYPE=NO, then when a job
  with CLEANUPTYPE=NO ends in error and the CONTROLLER attempts to
  retrieve the OPERINFO, that attempt fails and the job is set to
  CLNO error status.
  .
  This "hides" the real error code and makes it more difficult for
  the user to take corrective action.  The original error code
  should be retained and not replaced by the CLNO status when
  there has been no intention to attempt to invoke TWSz CLEANUP
  AND RESTART.

  When RCLOPTS RESTARTINFORETRIEVAL(ONERROR) or
  JOBLOGRETRIEVAL(ONERROR)is set, the CONTROLLER attempts to
  retrieve the OPERINFO/JOBLOG data for all jobs ending in
  error status regardless of their CLEANUP TYPE.
  If EQQUX013 is active, so that no DATASTORE copy of the job
  log sysout is created, and jobs end in error, the Controller
  attempts to retrieve the OPERINFO/JOBLOG; that attempt fails
  and the job is set to CLNO error status.
  

Problem conclusion

• If EQQUX013 is active, so that no DATASTORE copy of the job log
  sysout is created, the Controller does not issue the
  retrieve OPERINFO/JOBLOG even if the job ends in error and
  RESTARTINFORETRIEVAL(ONERROR) and/or
  JOBLOGRETRIEVAL(ONERROR) are set.
  After applying this PTF a CP REPLAN is needed.
