    ****************************************************************
This APAR fixes the following problems of HP Image Copy Recovery
    function:

    1. When either DFSUCUM DD or DFSULOG DD cards are not specified
in the running JCL of HPIC Recovery function with DBRC=N,
       HPIC ends with RC=8 and MSG DFS301A ( MSGDFS301A ).

    2. If the associated change accumuration and lof data set are
not found in the DBRC RECON and both DFSUCUM DD and DFSULOG
DD cards are not specified in the running JCL of HPIC
Recovery function with DBRC=Y, HPIC ends with RC=8 and
       MSG DFS301A ( MSGDFS301A ).

    3. If image copy data set are not provided in the HPIC Recovery
function with DBRC=N, HPIC ends with RC=16 and MSG FABJ3941E
       ( MSGFABJ3941E ).

Problem conclusion

  • FABJDALC has been modified as follow:
-to allocate dynamically DFSUCUM and DFSULOG DD as DUMMY when
DBRC=N is specified, even if ICDALLOC=N or STACK keyword is
      specified.
-not to allocate dynamically null file as DFSUDUMP DD.
