Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS V12 CCTL DRA users including: * * - CICS 4.1 and lower users * * - ODBM users that specify RRS=N * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Multiple symptoms include: * * * * 1. Threads hung in a schedule * * request * * 2. Threads receive RC32 * * 3. Threads receive RC44 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF * **************************************************************** 1. DFSPRRA0 uses the wrong ecb pointer to post the waiting request. 2. DFSPRRC0 does not set the thread block pointer (PATE) after having the thread block assigned then fails with RC20 when the thread token is not unique.
Problem conclusion
GEN: KEYWORDS: *** END IMS KEYWORDS *** DFSPRRC0 sets the thread block pointer (PATE) after waiting and clears paploecb only if Open Thread TCB is active. This results in schedule requests being processed correctly. DFSPRRA0, DFSPRA30, DFSFPRA0 have been modified to use the PAPLOECB ecb for open thread path.
