Error description
When exporting PDF with Japanese report name on IE on Cognos 10 FP1, Japanese file name is garbled. The symptom for Excel on IE has been logged on APAR:PM35633 and was fixed with iFix10.1.4801.1068. PM35633: Cannot export Excel files with Korean file names in IE. https://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PM35633 By applying iFix10.1.4801.1068 , the issue for IE8 is also fixed when exporting as PDF format. But the issue for other version of IE isn't fixed completely.(The title of Japanese PDF file is shown as encoded characters.)

The issue is IE6 itself. It only has limited support for UTF8 c haracters in the content disposition header. The only way we ca n get such characters through is to URL encode them (%xx) Unfor tunately, this doesn't interact well with Acrobat reader, which is much more up-to-date on the handling of UTF-8, and so display s the title as encoded. Fortunately, when it saves the file, it saves it with the correct name
