PM46401: JAVASCRIPT ERROR IN IE WHEN FILTERING FOR AUTHORS IN WCM UI

Error description

  • JavaScript error in IE when filtering for authors in WCM UI
    
    Steps to recreate the issue.
    
    1. Open Internet Explorer (either v7 or v8) and open URL
    of the portal server
    
    2. Navigate to the authoring portlet via Applications ->
    Content -> Web Content Management
    
    3. Select a library (e.g. Web Content)
    
    4. Select "item views" on the left hand side
    
    5. Select All Items -> Published -> Content
    
    6. Click Filter
    
    7. In the filter dialog click "Add a filter"
    
    8. Select filter called ?Author?
    
    9. Click select to select the author
    
    10. Search for a user and add him/her to the list and click ok
    to leave the dialog
    
    11. Click oK again to apply the filter
    
    You will see that the filter is not applied and the dialog
    stays
    open. Depending on your IE settings you will either see a popup
    or a just the message "Error on page" on the left hand side of
    the status bar of the window.
