Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: GDSA goes SOS because subpool PGCSDB * * is full of CHANNELs/CONTAINERs. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A CTG client sends a DPL request with channel to CICS TOR, and then the DPL dynamic route to AOR over a MRO LINK.The mirror task in TOR was force purged and ABEND with AZI9 due to CTG timeout processing while it was suspended on a IRLINK between TOR and AOR. In AOR, DFHMIRS link user program successfully and returns to DFHMIRS. DFHMIRS calls DFHAPCR EXPORT_CHANGED to send the response and the CHANNEL to the TOR, but send of the channel data to TOR failed due to the transaction on TOR get purged. DFHAPCR returned with an EXCEPTION response with reason TERMINAL_ERROR to DFHXFP without delete the CHANNEL. The CHANNEL does not get deleted and after many AITI ABENDs, the GDSA becomes full. Keywords : SM0606 MSGDFHSM0606
Problem conclusion
DFHAPCR has been changed to call DFHPGCH DETACH_CHANNEL to delete the CHANNEL and container list before returning to DFHXFP with TERMINAL_ERROR when it's in function EXPORT_CHANGED.
