Error description

  • Provide the following enhancements
1.Coordinated DB2 and IMS DR (using volume level recovery and
recovery to end of last good log). This will focus only on
system restore and not application restore at this time.

2.An enhancement to prevent users from accidentally overwriting
target volume serials when performing Flash or Snap profiles
where UCB numbers are used as targets. With this type of
profile, if the UCBs are online during a backup, RE will now
    issue an error message:

ARYS457E - Target unit C0B0 is online with volser EA1102. It
must be offline for this type of backup.
ARYS118E - Check target UCBs and vary them offline before
    submitting the backup.

Before this check, RE would automatically vary these UCBs
offline and their contents would be replaced by the DB2 source
volumes (including the volume serial). This could cause
potential issues on the next z/OS IPL with duplicate volume
messages. This check allows users to decide if this is indeed
the desired result. If they wish to proceed,
they need to vary the online target UCBs offline, then run the
    backup.
