Error description

  • This APAR will address the following:
    - PM30784 added SCRUB function to PI. But it is wrong for
      TYPE67FA log records. A TYPE67FA log record is an IMS trace
      record and does not contain any user data. The SCRUB function
      in PI clears all of the trace data in the record incorrectly.
    - Scrub function of PI is not clearing user data in TYPE26
      and TYPE4026 log records. TYPE26 is EEQE IOT buffer log record
      and TYPE4026 is a CHKPT log record for IOT buffer. These
      buffers contain user data.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    During the data scrub operation, log record type X'67FA' is not
    being explicitly excluded and types X'26' and X'4026' are not
    being included.

Problem conclusion

  • Change ALZSCRUB to ignore X'67FA' log records and to process
    X'26' and X'4026' log records during the data scrub operation.
