Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 and V8.0 using the * * internationalization service and web * * services. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Exception is thrown when name space * * entry is defined. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Internationalization code only expects SOAPElements, but when the name space entry is defined, a class cast exception occurs because another type of object is returned.
Problem conclusion
Internationalization code should skip non-SOAPElements and continue processing. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.21 and 8.0.0.2.
