Error description
A Telnet server was started using profile statements similar to the following: TELNETPARMS PORT 23 LUSESSIONPEND MSG07 ENDTELNETPARMS BEGINVTAM PORT 23 LUGROUP MYLUS LUNAME01..LUNAME30..FFFFFFNN ENDLUGROUP LUMAP MYLUS nn.nn.nn.nn ALLOWAPPL TSO* DISCONNECTABLE ENDVTAM A client connected to the Telnet server and received the solicitor panel. Next, an application was specified which did not meet the above ALLOWAPPL statement criteria. The logon attempt failed with RCode = X'3012' RC_APPL_INVLD and the following solicitor message was returned: Enter Your Userid: Password: New password: Application: XXX Invalid application selected A valid application name was then entered. This session attempt failed with: RCode = X'3004' RC_LU_NO_MATCH. Enter Your Userid: Password: New password: Application: TSO No LUs available now, please try later The client was unable to start a session. Disconnecting and then reconnecting the client resolved the problem.
Local fix
Disconnect/reconnect to the Telnet server.
