Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS Change Management APPLY
  job fails with a return code 8 in the UNLOAD utility with a
  message:
  DSNU1212I -ssid DSNUUUFA - INVALID FIELD NAME <colname> FOR
  TABLE <table-name>
  when the change used the RENAMECOL MASK to rename an existing
  column and add a new column with the same name as the original
  renamed column.

  *                      For example, if I have a column C_ONE   *
  *                      and I rename C_ONE to C_ONERENAMED and  *
  *                      add another column C_TWO that is NOT    *
  *                      NULL WITH NO DEFAULT, the UNLOAD fails  *
  *                      with the described error.               *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The problem is caused by reusing a column name that is already
  used.  The change involves using a derived column name instead
  of the actual name specified by the user.  This is only for the
  duration and success of the UNLOAD (i.e. the result column is
  correctly named). Additionally, the derived column name is
  checked against the pending changes to avoid another duplicate
  column name from being used.
