Error description

  • The customer has Omegamon PE v420, PTF BUILD 10.202 with PE
Agent v3.2 win E8021 installed on DB2 Connect server 9.5. The
PE agent stopped working after upgrading to DB2 Connect 9.7 FP3.
The error message only showed if you select Configure using GUI:
    Error checking DB2 editions.

Uninstalled v3.2 and installed DB2 PE Agent v5.1 ervice updates
E9007 ( March 15,2011) but still getting the same error.

Local fix

  • In the bin folder of the installed PEAgent, there are

    e2e.bat
    e2e_batch.bat
    e2econfig.bat
    e2eservice.bat

scripts. Please open each of them in an editor, find the string
    -editions ese,cee,conue,conas,conee,consv

and modify it by adding "aese," at the beginning, like:
    -editions aese,ese,cee,conue,conas,conee,consv.

    After that everything should work.
