Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for * * z/OS who validate a Work Statement List * * ( WSL ) when a CREATE VIEW statement * * contains a column deleted from the table * * and has the form 'CREATE VIEW view_name * * (column-name,...) AS SELECT * FROM * * table-name'. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS * * program ADB2WVL - Validate Work * * Statement List ends with a return code * * 0 when a CREATE VIEW statement contains * * a column deleted from the table. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If the number of columns in a CREATE VIEW statement in the form 'CREATE VIEW view_name (column-name,...) AS SELECT * FROM table-name', does not match the number of columns in the table, Validate WSL ends with return code 0.
Problem conclusion
Problem has been resolved. A new message ADB3024E 'The number of columns specified for the view is not the same as the number of columns in the corresponding table.' was added to indicate the different column numbers between the view and the table. Validate WSL will fail with a RC=8 and the customer needs to check whether the columns specified for the view is the same as the number of columns in the corresponding table.
