Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' program ADB2WVL - Validate
    Work Statement List ends with a return code zero when a CREATE
    VIEW statement contains a column deleted from the table.

    If the number of columns in a CREATE VIEW statement in the form
    'CREATE VIEW view_name (column-name,...) AS SELECT * FROM
    table-name', does not match the number of columns in the table,
    Validate WSL ends with return code 0.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Problem has been resolved.  A new message ADB3024E 'The number
    of columns specified for the view is not the same as the number
    of columns in the corresponding table.' was added to indicate
    the different column numbers between the view and the table.
    Validate WSL will fail with a RC=8 and the customer needs to
    check whether the columns specified for the view is the same
    as the number of columns in the corresponding table.
