APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A value is not validated in the Date Time Type field when saving
    a record in ClearQuest Web 7.1 client.
    
    1. Click Modify a record.
    
    2. Input an invalid value (11/03/40) in a text box of date_time
    (e.g YY/MM/DD), then the yellow color of the field is changed to
    show a message ' the value is invalid'.
    3. Click [ Save ] the record. The [ save ] action is completed
    without an validation error.
    4. The invalid value is not saved. the previous value remains.
    
    
    
    It is expected to get a validation error message ' The field
    'xxx' has the invalid value '11/03/40' ' in the above steps 3.
    It happens in the CQ Web v7.1.1.x/v7.1.2.x.
    
    CQ Web  NG ( IE6/7/8, FF3.x)
    CQ Win  OK.
    CQ RCP (Not Applicable because it is not allowed to type a
    value).
    
    The behavior should be like follows.
    
    1. Click Modify a record.
    
    2. Input an invalid value (11/03/40) in a text box of date_time
    (e.g YY/MM/DD), then the yellow color of the field is changed to
    show a message ' the value is invalid'.
    3. Click [ Save ] the record. The [ save ] action is NOT
    completed with an validation error message ' The field 'xxx' has
    the invalid value '11/03/40' '.
    4. The label of the text box of date_time becomes Red.
