Error description

• IBM Rational ClearCase MultiSite Replicated VOB fails to import
  an unreserve oplog after upgrading to ClearCase 7.1.2.2. Or
  importing an unreserve oplog that was created on a  7.1.2.2.
  server or client.
  
  Also, ClearCase VOB server users may see an error when
  attempting to request mastership of a file that has previously
  been checked out with the unreserved and nmaster options.
  
  Reproduction scenarios:
  
  ==========
  SCENARIO 1:
  A) Check out a file and then change it to unreserved with
  cleartool unreserve.
  
  Error:
  multitool syncreplica -import -receive
  multitool: Error: Branch '\main' of element is already checked
  out unreserved by  view ?no-tag-in-region? ('(null):(null)').
  multitool: Error: Unable to replay oplog entry 13: error
  detected by ClearCase subsystem.

  B)  Site A (no defect) makes 2 unreserved checkouts of same
  branch to different views.
  Site B (7.1.2.2) imports changes and tries to import them both
  as reserved checkouts
  Second checkout oplog fails with:

  Slight variation of this:
  First checkout was done reserved, but Site B imported the oplog
  before upgrading to 7.1.2.2.   In this case the first checkout
  is Correctly flagged as Reserved.
  
  ==========
  SCENARIO 2:
  
  A user checks out a file as unreserved and non-mastered then
  that check out is synchronized to the remote replica that
  masters the file.
  Future attempts to request mastership of that file will fail
  with the following error:
  
  cleartool reqmaster myfile.c@@/main
  cleartool: Error:  myfile.c@@/main
  The following blocked the 'reqmaster' operation at replica
  'remote-replica'.
    At least one checkout prevents the request.
  
  cleartool lsco -l at the remote replica will show the version
  checked out at the requesting replica.

  Workaround:
  Revert all 7.1.2.2 servers or clients back to version 7.1.2.1 or
  earlier. Or upgrade to the most recent patch.
  Note this will not fix the current issues. The version will need
  to be unchecked out and synchronized to allow reqmaster to
  succeed.
