APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS panel ADB2ZZMN "System
  Parameters - System Parameters" displays a message "Value out of
  range" / "Enter a numeric value between 1 and 32767" for the
  field "Maximum open datasets" aka DSMAX when a customer attempts
  to enter a value greater than 32767.
  
  The field also only accepts 5 digits while DB2's acceptable
  values range from 1 to 100000.

  The input field and valid value for DSMAX is invalid on panel
  ADB2ZZMN, and the value on panel ADB2ZZMN can not correctly be
  changed online.
  

Problem conclusion

• Program has been changed to accept a value for DSMAX that is
  greater than 32767, and values on ADB2ZZMN can be changed
  online.
