Error description

  • DFHSR0001 applid An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset
    X'FFFFFFFF' in program ICC$PRG1.
    .
Abend0C4 's occur in load module ICCFCDLL offset x'14BE0'. The
0C4 's occur for different tasks, and fail because Reg1 is
invalid. Reg1 was loaded using Reg13 +BC which contains zeroes,
then loaded again from low core offset x'C'. Low core +x'C'
contains the chars AAAAAAAA. The failing program within ICCFCDLL
is ICCBUFEC. There is no check to see if we have a valid length
    before referencing field ivpInputMsgBuffer.

    ****************************************************************
Program ICC$PRG1 abends 0C4 on the remote link method
call because ivpInputMsgBuffer is null. This is because
it addresses lowcore and because PRIMEPSA diag option
is in effect an invalid datalength is being picked up
    causing the abendS0C4
    Keyword: AAAAAAAA

Problem conclusion

  • In module ICCPRGEC, method IccProgram::link, code is inserted to
ensure that ivpInputMsgBuffer has been correctly passed, before
    we check its length.
