Error description

  • Unload delimited of a decimal column is missing leading 0.
For example, .00 is being returned instead of 0.00 or .543
instead of 0.543.  DB2INCORR/K

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: UNLOAD DELIMITED of a DECIMAL column is *
*                      missing a leading 0 before the decimal  *
*                      point.                                  *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *

UNLOAD FORMAT DELIMITED was run on a table containing a DECIMAL
column.  An error in the conversion from internal to external
format resulted in the leading zero being missed.

  Examples:

    0.12 was unloaded as .12
    0.00 was unloaded as .00
   -0.54 was unloaded as -.54

Non-delimited UNLOAD also has the same problem.

Problem conclusion

  • UNLOAD code has been changed to correctly place the leading zero
when it is the single significant digit.
