PM34612: Invalid Lock Request-Data already Locked Error while trying to change properties of a restored project

Rational DOORS Fix Pack 5 (9.3.0.5) for 9.3

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a Project with an empty Folder is restored in to a DOORS
  Database, any attempt to change the properties of the project
  will lead to an error 'Invalid lock Request- Data already
  locked' error.
  
  This can be reproduced only with projects with an empty folder
  within them. For example , issue can be reproduced with
  
  Project 1
         -? Folder 1
  
  Cannot be Reproduced with
      Project 1
            -? Folder 1
                             -? Module 1
  
  Also can be reproduced with
  
  Project 1
        -? Folder 1
        -? Folder 2
                     -? Module 2
  
  
  There are no locks visible in manage locks or through DBAdmin.
  
  The issue is no longer seen if the user opens the restored
  project and navigates through the empty folders (opening the
  empty folders) , or when the DOORS client is restarted.
  
  This issue is also reproducible in DOORS 8.3

  When a Project is restored in to a DOORS Database, any

  an error 'Invalid lock Request- Data already locked' error.
  
  This error existed both in presence and absence of empty
  folders.
  

Problem conclusion

• To prevent this problem, proper unlocking has been
  implemented.
