Error description

  • In RequisitePro 7.1.1 the following issue has been brought to
    our attention:

When you create a traceability link from a local requirement to
an external requirement, two rows are added to the
RQTORELATIONSHIPS table. One for every requirement

The problem is that, when you remove the external project from
your local one (File? Project Administration ? External Projects
? Remove). Not all external traces are removed from table
RQTORELATIONSHIPS as only one row is removed.

This has been reproduced on both MS SQLServer 2005 and DB2 9.5.
the error does not happen on MS Access.

    ****************************************************************
When the user creates a traceability relationship between a
local and an external requirements, two records are inserted
to the RqToRelationships table. One per each requirement.
If the user removes the external project, traceability
relationship records would be deleted in both local and
external projects. However only the local project records
are deleted but not the records on the external project
    database.

Problem conclusion

  • The required logic was added so traceability relationship
records from both local and external projects are removed.
