  • RACF security for batch jobs not working as described in the
    QCF V310 User's Guide.

Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of QCF3.1 which use SAF protection.    *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SAF protection is working fine on both  *
    *                      - TSO client and batch job-levels.      *
    *                      The internal flags have not been set    *
    *                      correct for the type of the user-       *
    *                      client or batch - which  makes the      *
    *                      debugging info confusing.               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    A new flag has been introduce to set the type of the user - TSO
    client or batch job. This flag is set at the very beginning of
    the main control program. Next decisions are done base on the
    new flag.
    

Problem conclusion

  • SAF security works fine, new flag is added and decision are
    done based on the new flag. This is to do the programs better
    prepared for activating some processes and for debugging.
