APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS GEN function creates DDL
in which the order of objects does not reflect the order that
they need to be created in to prevent a SQLCODE440 being issued.

Local fix

  • Manually reorder the DDL such that called functions/procedures
are created before they are referenced by other procedures.

The DB2 Object Comparison Tool creates NSP's alphabetically.

Problem conclusion

  • The DB2 Object Comparison Tool has been changed to create all
NSP's with the VALIDATE RUN option and once all of the NSP's
have been created, then issue the ALTER VALIDATE BIND
statements for those NSP's originally defined as VALIDATE
    BIND.
