Error description
A long running BMP goes into a wait for an AREA limit, but the BMP had no messages on the queue at that time. The messages that are on the queue are from other sources. The BMP should not be IWAITED. Keywords: HANG waiting overflow protection hanging

The current * * usage of the queues has not been used * * to set the AREA till now- this caused * * some sources to be iwaited even there * * were no messages ( or not as much * * messages as set in the AREA ) on the * * queues. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The programs have been changed to set the AREA / FAIL based on the current usage of the queues - then the action in the set AREA / FAIL is taken.
Problem conclusion
Apply the APAR. Restart the control region to get the changes activated.
