Error description

  • The following error message is displayed in IBM Rational
ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) when attempting to checkin a
    file.

'CRVAP0087E CCRC command 'checkin' failed: Unable to create
    pathname for file
    'C:\ccweb\UsErNaMe\VIEWTAG\VOBTAG\Test\FileName.txt': Permission
    denied'

This occurs when the user changes the case of their user name
logging in, so for example the user DOMAIN\UsErNaMe is not
    handled the same as DOMAIN\username.

Properties shows the checkout is pending to
UsErNaMe.user(ClearCase User), the error still persists even if
the user logs out and logs in as DOMAIN\UsErNaMe

    Workaround:
Rename the offending ccweb folder, this requires access to the
ccweb folder on the IBM Rational Change Management (CM) Server
    itself.
